DEADLINE THIS WEEKEND: QUEEN, JUNIOR QUEEN, LITTLE MISTER & LITTLE MISS PAGEANTS: The Celestine 175 Celebration will feature a pageant with 3 different age categories! The Pageants will be held Sunday, June 24 at 4PM on the Dubois Middle School Stage. Entry forms are now available on CelestineIndiana.com. Entry forms and fee must be submitted by Monday, April 30. Age categories: (ages as of June 24, 2018): Queen - young ladies 15-19, Junior Miss - young ladies 10-14, Little Miss and Mister - boys and girls ages 5-9. Here are answers to some common questions: "I am not a beauty queen". This pageant is not looking for the next Miss America. We are looking for someone who best represents the town of Celestine. We want to celebrate YOU being you! "Do the Little Miss and Mister have to speak alone?" Yes, they will have to answer questions independently but they will never be on stage alone. They will always be in a small group with their peers. "Do I have to go out and buy all new outfits?" You will have several outfit changes but most likely you will be able to find something in your closet or borrow from a friend. (No you will not have to wear a swimsuit). "Will I be busy the whole fest!" NO! There will be jobs sprinkled here and there but this is a special time and we want everyone to get to enjoy the fest/celebration with friends and family. "Can I still be in the pageant if my family is gone on vacation during practices?" Please contact Ashley Seger if this is your hesitation. We want everyone who wants to be a part of this, to have the opportunity. We will try and work something out.  Please contact Ashley Seger with any questions 812-630-4924 or Ashley.seger25@gmail.com.

MARCH 1 MEETING RECAP:
- There were 60 people in attendance.
- Chad Schnell passed around the first draft of a small promo poster and a folded schedule flyer. Both will be finalized and printed for early April.
- Kathy Bachman gave an update on the April Museum day including that the Grand Marshal will be announced during the event.
- Allen Luebbehusen reported on the Car Cruise the weekend before the fest, Saturday, June 23, 2018. When the cars return around 6pm, hamburgers and other food will be available, along with a DJ. The Hayride will leave the event around 7pm.
- Chad reported that any chairpersons who want the Queen to present awards and take photos need to let him know.
- Chad reported that all chairpersons need to get with him in the next month or so with what they want to do for awards or prizes for his event. Martha Goepfrich said to contact her if any chairpersons want participation ribbons, Martha is having them made for kids races. A few sample trophies were displayed.
- Kris Buechler reported the parade entry forms are ready and that there might be a limit on how many entries are accepted for the Thursday Night Parade. He said that parade route will go from the park up the church hill past the elementary school and then back down to the park so the state highway does not have to be closed for the Night Parade.
- Ron Sander reported on a large number of Tractor & Farm Show activities that will start on Sat. June 23 and continue the fest weekend.
- Chad reported on their continuing discussions about offering balloon rides. The balloons will only be able to fly for about 2 hours on Saturday early evening due to weather/winds that time of year.
